Lucas County Ohio Shelter Homes for Women?
Question by sarah g: Lucas County Ohio Shelter homes for women?
I have a friend in need of a shelter home in Lucas County.Toledo Ohio. Any suggestions? She lost her children last year and now has no place to go. She is in need of immediate help. Somewhere that can help her get on her feet. She is afraid to ask anyone, so I decided to help. She is crashing here and there. She needs a program to help her get her kids back, and to help kick her drug addictions.

I am truly sorry to hear about your friend. She is blessed to have someone like you who is willing to help her get back on her feet.
My husband is on the board of the Erie Co. Safe Harbor shelter, and he suggested that I pass some basic Lucas Co. shelter info along to you, since you do not state specifically where in the county your friend is located.
Here is a link to shelters in OH broken down by each county:

If you sroll down you will find three options for Lucas County.
Granted, these are geared specifically toward abuse prevention, but any one of them will be able to help you find further info and all have hotline numbers listed.
Best of luck to your friend and to you in finding her help.
