Question by Sammi: What are the laws in the state of Ohio about young moms becoming mothers ?
I’m having issue with my daughters father. He is saying he is going to get full custody. I have full custody of her and have been taking care if her since day one. I don’t party nor do drugs. I have two jobs to support my daughter. I’m 16 and my daughters father is 19. My daughter is well taking care of.. There hasn’t been a DNA test or court for his visitation. Can he really get full custody of her?

Likely not unless he can convince the court I think that you are unfit, see the following exerpt and link below.
In Ohio, an unmarried mother is considered to have sole physical and legal custody of the child, unless an Ohio family court determines someone else to be the legal or physical guardian.
I think he’s blowing hot air and trying to scare you. Is he paying child support? Is he trying to get out of child support? Is your child being used as a power play by him? I wouldn’t spend money on an attorney until he actually files papers with a court.

Yes, he can really get full custody of her. He’s a legal adult, and you aren’t. If you’re working two jobs, where are you finding the time to be a parent? When are you going to school?
The baby is not 100% yours, she is 50% his, and he has the same rights to her as you do. You need to get used to this idea, because you are going to have him as part of your life for at least 18 years now that you’ve made a baby with him. The two of you are going to have to learn to compromise on various issues. You won’t get everything your way, he won’t get everything his way.
