Question by people_in_planes: does anyone know how extensively pharmacy schools look into an applicants background?
i was placed into a rehab treatment center not for drugs but for clinical depression when i was a minor could that hurt my chances? should i be honest when applying and going in for my interview?

If you were a minor, it shouldn’t show up at all.

On the other hand, try asking that question to an admissions counselor of a Rx school that you don’t plan on applying to.

Also, keep it anonymous, as many of the admissions counselors from different schools might know one another and mentioning your name might put the kabosh on your application.

I was never asked about anything like this for pharmacy school interviews. They want to see you have good test scores and grades, and they will only ask questions to see why you are interested in pharmacy. If thats how you got interested in pharmacy, be honest.
