In the State of Ohio Can I Sale Life Insurance With a Felony?

Question by David F: In the state of ohio can I sale life Insurance with a felony?
I have a trouble back ground but things have changed tremendously in my life in the last 4 years. I have a couple convictions for selling drugs in my past. I’m looking to obtain a career in insurance sales but I heard that you can’t get a license in the state of Ohio with a felony. Does anyone know if this is true?

Well, in general, you can’t get an insurance license with a felony – however, the state insurance commissioner can give you an exception. Those exceptions don’t usually happen too often, depending on the felony.

Try to get the convictions sealed.

And, call the Department of Insurance in your state. A link is below.
